Package model context so engineers can pick up work with confidence.
A clean handoff gives engineers the structure, contracts, and intent they need without a meeting. Because everything is anchored to the model, the handoff is a set of links rather than a re-explanation.
What to include in a handoff
| Item | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Scope | The objects involved in Explore |
| Contracts | OpenAPI / ERD attachments |
| Behavior | Relevant workflow diagrams |
| Intent and constraints | Linked specification pages |
The flow
Define the scope
Identify the objects and links the work touches in Explore.
Gather contracts
Point to the OpenAPI and ERD attachments that define the interfaces.
Reference behavior
Link the workflow diagrams that describe expected interactions.
Capture intent
Ensure a spec explains the why, not just the what.
Single source, no drift
Because the handoff links to the live model and specs, engineers always see the current state rather than a snapshot that can go stale.
Confirm the model has no unresolved references or validation errors before handing off. A clean model is the clearest spec.
